DANCE 89.5 is looking for an outgoing, self-motivated sales professional to help grow the station through sponsorships and underwriting. This role focuses on building relationships with local businesses, nonprofits, agencies, and community partners who want to support public radio and youth empowerment while reaching one of the Pacific Northwest’s most engaged audiences.

You’ll manage your own portfolio of accounts, develop new business, create sponsorship proposals, and help clients build campaigns across radio, digital, podcasts, events, and more.

What You’ll Do

• Build relationships with new and existing sponsors.
• Prospect, pitch, and close new underwriting and sponsorship opportunities.
• Create sponsorship packages that include on-air, digital, podcast, and event opportunities.
• Manage campaigns from proposal through completion.
• Write FCC-compliant underwriting copy and coordinate campaign scheduling.
• Keep accurate records, forecasts, and client activity in our CRM.
• Represent DANCE 89.5 at community events and networking opportunities.
• Work with station staff to develop new sponsorship ideas and partnerships.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in sales, fundraising, business development, media, or account management.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable meeting new people and asking for business.
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple projects at once.
• Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Experience with public radio, nonprofits, sponsorships, or media sales is a plus.

How You’ll Earn a Good Living

• Compensation includes competitive annual base salary of $60,000 + 10%+ monthly commission + potential bonuses

• This is a full time 1099 contract sales position, you’ll be responsible for managing personal taxes and benefits etc.
